New! SPF50Updated a month ago

1. What is a hybrid SPF, and how does it protect against sun damage?
Our hybrid SPF combines mineral and double-encapsulated chemical UV filters to give you the best of both worlds. Mineral filters like Titanium Dioxide sit on the skin to help reflect and scatter UV rays, while advanced chemical filters absorb any remaining rays before they can cause damage. This dual approach provides high, broad-spectrum protection with a lightweight, wearable finish and minimal white cast. The result is reliable protection that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and comfortable for everyday use.

2. Does the SPF 50 protect against UVA and UVB rays?
Yes. Our SPF 50 offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
UVA rays contribute to premature aging and long-term skin damage, while UVB rays are responsible for sunburn and can directly damage skin cells. Protecting against both is essential for maintaining healthy skin and reducing long-term sun damage.

3. Is SPF 50 suitable for babies, all skin types and tones?
Yes, our SPF 50 is gentle, dermatologically tested and suitable for all skin tones, types and babies over 6 weeks old. It’s also suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

4. What additional benefits does the SPF 50 have?
Alongside high-level sun protection, this hypoallergenic formula is designed to be gentle and comfortable for everyday use. It’s lightweight, non-greasy and suitable for sensitive skin, with hydrating and soothing ingredients that help support the skin barrier while protecting against UV damage.

5. Can I replace my moisturiser with the SPF 50?
SPF 50 is an essential final step in your routine and shouldn’t replace your moisturiser. Together, they form a powerful duo that supports your skin's overall well-being.

6. How to use SPF 50? How much to apply?
Apply SPF as the final step in your morning skincare routine. Can be used on the whole body.
For the face and neck, use around half a teaspoon and apply generously to all exposed skin, including ears and neck. Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every two hours, especially if swimming, sweating or towel-drying.

7. How do I include SPF 50 in my current skincare routine?
SPF50 should be applied after moisturising as the last step in your morning skincare routine.

8. How often should I apply SPF 50?
SPF should be used daily, all year round. Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors, and more often after swimming, sweating or towel-drying to maintain protection.

9. Does SPF 50 leave a white cast on the skin?
Mineral filters can sometimes leave a white cast, but our hybrid formula is designed to minimise this. By combining mineral and advanced chemical filters, it provides strong protection with a more natural, wearable finish across a wide range of skin tones.

10. Can I use it with makeup?
Absolutely! Our sunscreen is makeup-compatible. We suggest allowing SPF 50 to fully absorb for 5 minutes before applying makeup to create a smooth, protected base.

11. Can this be applied around the eyes?
Yes, it’s gentle enough for the eye area. Avoid direct contact with the eyes, and rinse thoroughly with cool water if contact occurs.

12. What does SPF mean? And what is the difference between PA Rating and SPF?
The SPF number indicates how much longer your skin is protected compared to wearing no sunscreen. SPF 50 means your skin can tolerate UVB exposure up to 50 times longer than without protection when applied correctly. SPF (Sun Protection Factor) measures protection against UVB rays, which cause sunburn and can damage skin cells. SPF 50 filters protect about 98% of UVB rays when applied correctly.
PA (Protection Grade of UVA) indicates if a product protects against UVA rays.
Our SPF 50 provides broad-spectrum protection, helping shield your skin from both UVB and UVA rays for everyday sun safety.

 13. Is SPF 50 waterproof?
This SPF is not waterproof, so we recommend reapplying after swimming, sweating or towel-drying to maintain full protection.

14. When does the product expire?
Once opened, SPF 50 stays effective for up to 6 months. To ensure full sun protection, use it within this period.

15. Is SPF 50 reef-safe?
Our formula is free from oxybenzone and octinoxate and is designed with both skin and environmental considerations in mind. The titanium dioxide in our SPF50 is non-nano.
